Sport, Anti-Racism and the Problem of White Supremacy

On the tenth of the (Anti)Racism in Sports online series, we host Kola Adeosun and Aarti Ratna who will be focusing on the role of white supremacy in sports and how to defeat it.

Dr. Aarti Ratna is an Associate Professor of Sociology at Solent University, UK. Her work focuses upon anti-racist and transnational feminist readings of sport, leisure and popular culture particular as it relates to explore the pleasures and desires of women of the South Asian diaspora.

Kola Adeosun is undertaking his PhD in Educational Philosophy and Sport Development alongside teaching on the UG Sport Coaching and Development course at Solent University, UK. Alongside his academic career, Kola has a wealth of practitioner experience having worked in sport in Africa, the UK, the Caribbean, and the USA, as a coach, researcher, development officer, and consultant.
